WOW! Amber Rose is a 10, here. Her dress is amazing, makeup is flawless. I loveee the long lashes. Such an easy way to glam up, try it out ladies. (Get them done at MAC for free with purchase of lashes…or do them yourself.. a little trickier).

Although it may seem like a drag… but when the season changes
CHANGE YOUR FOUNDATION TOO!
In the winter your skin can lose it’s tan from the summer & make you one or two shades lighter. I recommend searching for a new shade foundation for the winter season & do the same next summer when you get your tan. There’s nothing worse than being able to SEE someone’s foundation color.
Try Covergirl foundations, they’re great!!

I made a tweet recently about Nicki Minaj needing a new makeup artist. Which is TRUE! I really don’t like the makeup she usually wears – it reminds me of my experimental makeup stage in middle school when me & my friends would wear bandanas & glitter eyeshadow EVERYWHERE.
HOWEVER
This picture of Nicki finally does her justice. Her makeup looks great. This was for a shoot done with Honey Magazine. Her makeup was done by Daniel Green. Kudos to him for fixing her up!
LC IS GLOWING
Lauren Conrad seems to be busy even without starring on The Hills. I wanted to throw up this pictures because I think she looks great in it, natural but concentrates the color in her fuchsia lips. She’s come a long way.
THE PERFECT FINISH
My new favorite product. It’s a must have! GET IT!! It’s worth it.
This new product is the MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Microfinish Powder for $30. You can get this at Sephora stores & it’s rated as a Sephora best seller and given 4 1/2 stars out of 5 on the website reviews. This powder sets makeup & mattifies skin slightly, but still lets the natural skin shine through. It is talc free and has silicones in it to fill in lines & areas that shouldn’t be there. It gives a super natural glow & makes you look like you have flawless skin.
I doubted the product at first so I put some on my face in the store, it’s amazing!! I bought it and use my MAC 182 Buffer Brush $45 to put it on.
OK… LIPGLOSS/LIPSTICK INFO…FINALLY!
It took me awhile to post this, I apologize. I’ll keep it real & say my blogging motivation went out the window for a second & I was on super chill mode. But I did go to the mall the day like I said I was going to. I spent 2 + hours (not joking) playing around in Sephora, and at MAC and Bobbi Brown in Hudson Belk.

Leona Lewis‘ album cover for he 4th album Echo has been released. I know there’s lot of work that goes into making her look this flawless, but it starts with skin & makeup. I love the bronze effect going on & again with the dark red lips… this is obviously a trend. & one I love!!

I GOT ANSWERS FROM NARS
Remember about a week ago I made a post complaining about the new NARS lipstick in Scarlet Empress? Well, I wrote NARS (a straight forward) letter and got this back… Take a look.
Dear Client,
Thank you for contacting NARS Cosmetics.
We have reformulated a majority of our lipsticks which includes the NARS
Scarlett Empress shade. Unfortunately, the testers provided at Sephora were
provided to the stores before the formulation was updated.
The new formulation offers advanced emollients for moisturizing and
anit-aging benefits. Clients will also find the color lasts longer than the
previous formula. Unfortunately, the manufacturer could not obtain the same
pigment ingredient used in the previous formulation for Scarlett Empress.
Therefore, you will find the shade to be altered in pigment.
We apologize if you feel inconvenienced by this modification, but invite you
to try our newly formulated lipsticks in the future.

Kerry Washington’s has a unique lip shape & she always looks amazing. She worked a NUDE LIP in NYC at an Americans for the Arts event the other night.
My favorite nude lip color is MAC Honeylove $14 in a matte finish (pictured above- it’s a little less pink in real life). The color is amazing & works with a variation of skin tones.
You can wear Honeylove alone for a great matte finish but I often use Honeylove as a base color & put MAC Tinted Lipglass in C-Thru $14 over it in order to get a super opaque nude color on my lips that doesn’t have a matte finish. Try it out – I bet you’ll love it – I line my lips in a MAC Lip Pencil in Cork $13.
HEY …exfoliate and moisturize your lips before you do this – it makes a world of difference!

Heavily made up that is. Check out Tyra Banks on the set of Gossip Girl. The photoshoot I did this weekend had some intense makeup like this one – so this picture of her caught my eye!

IS RIRI TOO BRIGHT EYED?
You all know by now that I’m a fan of under eye concealer BUT there is a point when it’s too light and not blended enough. I think Rihanna MIGHT be pushing this envelope but she still looks great as always – skin is flawless. You guys can make your own decision about her under eye concealer – It sure does brighten up her face.

A SAD STORY WITH A SIDE ORDER OF BEAUTY TIP
Time for a short story: I was very disappointed when I went into Sephora the other day& was searching for THE perfect red lipstick. I had been to MAC tried Diva, Media, Russian Red, Ruby Woo, looked at countless other lipsticks from other lines…blah blah blah.
Anyways. I found this in the NARS section:
NARS Lipstick in Scarlet Empress. OMGSH I HAD TO HAVE IT! I’m not kidding – you guys might be like, “what’s her issue, it’s just lipstick” but I fell in love. I tested it out on my hand it was the creamiest thickest deep red perfection ever – more so than the swatch above – I almost cried…so I’m excited. I’ve found MY red lipstick, right? WRONG!
Here comes the BEAUTY TIP part :
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take the product you are going to buy (NOT the tester) and open it before you buy it.
I was with Erika and Kelcie and was insisting that the color was different. They didn’t believe me – because it did look very similar. Even the makeup artist didn’t believe me. So I buy it, knowing I’m going to have to return it but put it on my hand next to the “same colored” tester –> COMPLETELY DIFFERENT consistency& definitely not my perfect red! Now I can’t claim NARS does this on purpose – but they sent two testers to Sephora (I demanded to see the other one) and they both are this amazing red & I looked at all other 3 lipsticks on sale…all the dull semi-red kinda pink lipstick … if they do this on purpose they are WRONG.
I got my lipstick tho! I am very good with words.
